Tom Andreae, Newton North — The junior guard was the catalyst in decisive Bay State Conference wins over Weymouth (81-47) and Wellesley (56-39), then scored 10 points with five assists to help the Tigers stun defending Division 1 state champion Mansfield, 70-47, on Sunday.
Shamar Browder, TechBoston — While he’s well under 6 feet, the junior guard attacked the rim fearlessly en route to a career-high 35 points during Wednesday’s win 86-59 win over New Mission. On Friday, Browder added 21 points in a 70-38 win at Latin Academy.
Jack Crowley, Beverly — The junior produced 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in a 67-54 win over Medford Tuesday. On Friday, the 6-foot-3-inch forward went for 16 points and 16 rebounds in a 63-50 win at Peabody as the Panthers qualified for the state tournament.
Declan Markey, Bishop Stang — The versatile 6-foot-2-inch sophomore scored 26 points with 10 rebounds in a 66-62 win at Millis Wednesday and added 21 points and eight rebounds in Friday’s narrow 70-68 victory at Bishop Feehan to secure the Eastern Athletic Conference title.
Ryan Power, Waltham — First the junior helped the Hawks qualify for the state tournament with 19 points in Monday’s 69-62 win over Lincoln-Sudbury, then Power went for a career-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting in a 60-52 win over Weston Friday.Nate Weitzer can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
