Franklin must wait a day before resuming its quest for the Super 8 title.

The MIAA announced that Wednesday’s Division 1A Super 8 baseball contests at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton was postponed because of inclement weather.

Top-seeded BC High and eighth-seeded Walpole were scheduled to play an elimination game at 4 p.m., followed by a semifinal game between No. 4 Central Catholic and No. 7 Franklin at 7 p.m.

The games will be played Thursday at the same times.

Central Catholic and Franklin are both seeking its first appearance in the Super 8 final, where each team would have two chances to secure a Division 1A state championship. The loser of Thursday’s game will face the winner of BC High and Walpole’s matchup in a single-elimination game to decide the other tournament finalist.
