Archbishop Williams named 2000 grad Matt Reggiannini its varsity football coach. Reggiannini, the program’s defensive coordinator since 2010, is replacing 22-year coach William Kinsherf, who is retiring to devote his time as assistant principal at Archies.

Reggiannini was a four-year player for Kinsherf before playing football and lacrosse at Nichols.

“I’m pretty excited,” said the 35-year-old Reggiannini. “I’m kind of a mixed bag of emotions because I really enjoyed coaching under Bill. He was a real mentor for me. I would have been happy to coach under him for a lot longer, but when he decided to step down, I was honored to be able to step in to that position. I just want to keep moving the program forward.”
