Tra Holder’s Arizona State team will take on Syracuse.

A look at Wednesday’s games:

16. Texas Southern (15-19) vs. 16. North Carolina Central (19-15), 6:40 p.m. (truTv): Southern has former UMass guard Donte Clark, who averages 18.6 ppg and teams with 5-foot-7-inch, 150-pound Demontrae Jefferson (23.4). NCCU, a.k.a. Sam Jones U, is well coached by LeVelle Moton, but is facing a team that’s better than its record and is favored in Las Vegas.

11. Syracuse (20-13) vs. 11. Arizona State (20-11), 9:10 p.m. (truTv): Arizona State has three terrific guards — Tra Holder, Shannon Evans, and Remy Martin — who must find the seams in the Syracuse zone defense for easy buckets. The Sun Devils can’t just chuck up threes or Syracuse will prevail.
