The Cape Ann Farmers Market at Stage Fort Park has opened for the 12th season in Gloucester. The market, which runs from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays, featuries about 40 vendors selling a wide variety of locally produced food, such as meat, fish, hard cider, gelato, and gluten-free pasta as well as handmade crafts. Services such as knife sharpening and bicycle repair also are available. It will feature activities for children, and entertainment by local musicians. The market accepts SNAP/EBT/WIC coupons and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons. Parking is free, and the season runs through Oct. 11.
