Utah man arrested at Cambridge hotel with 45 pounds of marijuana

A Utah man was arrested Monday at a Cambridge hotel after staff became suspicious when he tried to claim packages that were delivered there, even though he was not a guest.

Police said Stanley Suojanen, 39, of Cedar Hills, Utah, allegedly fled the Memorial Drive hotel and hid in the trunk of his car, which was parked in the hotel’s garage.

He was quickly found by police.

Authorities searched three boxed crates that had been delivered to the hotel and found about 45 pounds of marijuana, nearly $4,000 in cash, four cell phones, and a prepaid debit card, police said.
