Construction workers came to the rescue Tuesday, saving nine baby ducklings from a Falmouth storm drain when they fell through the grate, police said.

The ducklings fell through the drain on Main Street near the specialty food store Bean & Cod, police said on Facebook. Luckily, a M. Duffany Builders crew spotted the little guys and was able to remove the grate.

Police said the workers placed the ducklings in a box and turned them over to the care of Falmouth Animal Control.

On May 6, Arlington police also made a similar rescue when 11 ducklings fell into a sewer drain, the Globe reported.
