Tuesday is expected to be much warmer than Marathon Monday, but showers are still possible.

Compared to the cold, wet, and windy weather we endured on Marathon Monday, Tuesday is shaping up to be just fine.

Temperatures in Boston on Tuesday are expected to reach 51, and the skies will be partly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

Of course, it’s still April, so there’s a slight chance of a rain shower, and winds will be blowing between 9 and 13 miles per hour.

“Although not as wet as yesterday, a few showers may develop through the day today,” forecasters wrote.

Meteorologists said Tuesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 36, and it will warm up again Wednesday, with a high near 53. Wednesday will also be windier, with gusts as high as 24 miles per hour.

On Wednesday night there will be a slight chance of rain between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., and then a chance of rain and snow, with a low around 38 degrees, forecasters said. Forecasters said little or no snow accumulation is expected in Boston, forecasters said.

On Thursday, there’s a chance of rain and snow before 9 a.m., followed by rain, and temperatures could reach a high of 42, forecasters said.
