Passenger stabs Worcester cab driver in the neck

A taxi driver in Worcester was stabbed in the neck by a passenger Monday afternoon, police said.

Witnesses said the driver, a 54-year-old man, was injured during a struggle with a passenger who “abruptly exited the cab and tried to remove the driver from the front seat,” police said. The driver is expected to survive.

The passenger then ran toward Eastern Avenue. He is described as thin, around 5 feet 10 inches tall with a dark complexion. He wore a black jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
