List of Patriots Day celebrations that have been canceled amid inclement weather

Minutemen fired their weapons in April 2016 as part of the reenactment of the 1775 Battle of Lexington.

As weather forecasters expect heavy rainfall, frigid temperatures, and strong winds on Sunday and Monday, a number of Patriots Day celebrations have been canceled, postponed, or moved.

Here is a list of some of the events that will not take place as scheduled:

Postponed events

The 11 a.m. Red Sox-Orioles game at Fenway Park has been postponed because of the forecast of sustained rain throughout the day. The game has been rescheduled for May 17 at 7:10 p.m.

Events that been moved

The Patriots Day morning ceremonies in Lexington, scheduled for 8:15 a.m., are now moved to the Cary Memorial Building, at 1605 Massachusetts Ave., according to a post on the town’s website.
