Methuen police searching for home invasion suspects

Methuen police were searching for two men who allegedly broke into a woman’s apartment Tuesday morning and held her against her will, officials said.

Police responded to a report of a home invasion in a Ruskin Avenue apartment just before 11:30 a.m. The woman said the men — one of them armed with a long gun — “forced their way” in, held her in a bedroom, and fled, according to a statement from Methuen police.

Nothing was reported stolen, police said.

Both men are Hispanic and have medium complexions, the statement said. One of them has a thin build, and was wearing a red ski mask, black and grey sweatpants, and a similarly-colored sweatshirt. The other has a shorter, heavier build, and wore round black sunglasses, gloves, and a grey sweatshirt that covered his face.
