Stoneham man, 63, thrown from vehicle in New Hampshire crash

A 63-year-old Stoneham man was thrown from his truck Monday when it rolled over in Dover, N.H., according to State Police.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Route 16 and sent Martin Gavin hurtling out of his Dodge Ram pickup truck, after it “left the travel portion of the roadway to the right, traveled down the embankment, and then entered back onto the roadway” and flipped onto its side, New Hampshire State Police said in a statement.

Gavin was rushed to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover with serious injuries and then airlifted to Mass. General in Boston, according to New Hampshire authorities.

His condition was not immediately available.

“Anyone with information pertaining to this crash is asked to contact Trooper Brian Ross, New Hampshire State Police, Troop-A Barracks at (603)223-8490,” the statement said.
