    Wednesday, August 16

    The Boston Children’s Museum transforms into the Boston Grown-Ups Museum for Favorite Childhood Games Night. Forget Minecraft and sippy cups — think Sorry! and a cash bar. Adults 21+ can explore the exhibits, make art, meet the resident dinosaur, and skip the stairs in favor of the three-story climbing structure without embarrassment. 6:30 p.m. $25.


    Thursday-Sunday, August 17-20

    The 107th anniversary of the Fisherman’s Feast brings food, music, carnival-style games, and crowds to Boston’s North End. The Italian festival is best known for its Sunday night “Flight of the Angel,” when a young girl wearing angel wings “flies” (with help from a pulley system) out of a third-story window and down to a statue of the Madonna del Soccorso. 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. Friday, 2:30 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. Sunday. Free.


    Starting Friday, August 18

    The Marshfield Fair celebrates its 150th anniversary with 10 days of old-school fun. The jam-packed schedule features live music (including roots on August 20 and blues on closing weekend), demolition derbies, agricultural displays, 4-H exhibits and demonstrations, a tractor pull, carnival rides, and plenty of food. The anniversary parade starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 19. Through August 27. Noon daily. $10.


    Saturday, August 19


    Parrot Heads invade Mansfield when Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band swing into the Xfinity Center in Mansfield. It’s been 40 years since the album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes unleashed “Margaritaville” (Buffett’s only top-10 hit) on the world. Be ready to sing along. 8 p.m. Tickets start at $136.

    Fans of The Walking Dead and other sci-fi/fantasy hits come together for Walker Stalker Con at the Westin Boston Waterfront hotel. The event features panel discussions as well as meet-and-greets with actors including Chandler Riggs (who plays Carl Grimes), Lennie James (Morgan Jones), and Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene). Zombie makeup artists and vendors will also be on the premises. 10:30 a.m. both days. Tickets from $45; passes available.
