You might recognize some sets from the upcoming mini-series, “Defending Jacob,” which kicked off filming around Massachusetts on Monday.
The eight-episode crime series is based on Newton’s own William Landay’s 2012 novel by the same name.
Film crews for “Defending Jacob” and stars Chris Evans and Michelle Dockery were spotted in Wellesley and Hudson.
Evans plays Andy Barber, an assistant district attorney in Middlesex County whose 14-year-old son, Jacob (played by Jaeden Martell) is accused of murder. Dockery portrays Laurie Barber, Jacob’s mother.
In Hudson, Evans was spotted filming a scene in the morning at the corner of School and Washington streets.
“Defending Jacob” was picked up by Apple. In addition to his starring role, Evans is serving as executive producer.
