Mark Wahlberg was on the field prior to Super Bowl 51 (above), but he left before the Patriots finished their miraculous comeback.

Gambling website Bovada is taking bets on whether Mark Wahlberg will attend the 2019 Super Bowl and leave early like he did in 2017, prior to the Patriots’ historic comeback over the Atlanta Falcons.

For those who already bet on the long-shot odds of a repeat, we have bad news: A source tells us that Wahlberg and his family will not be in attendance when the Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The day after the 2017 Super Bowl, the Dorchester native explained on Instagram that he left early because his son wasn’t feeling well. In 2018, the actor missed Super Bowl LII entirely while filming “Mile 22” in South America.

At least one famous Patriots fan will be in attendance this year, however. Medford native and TV personality Maria Menounos told ESPN that she plans to be there, making Super Bowl LIII the 17th time she’s witnessed the big game in person.
