Boy, do we feel old.

The Boston-bred post-punk progenitors known as the Pixies have announced they’re about to release a deluxe 30th anniversary edition of their first eight-song EP, “Come On,” and their first LP, “Surfer Rosa.” Available Sept. 28, the three-CD (or three-LP) edition will include new artwork by original designer Vaughan Oliver — and a bonus disc, “Live From the Fallout Shelter,” which is one of the earliest recordings of the band. (It originally aired in 1986 on WJUL-FM in Lowell.)

These days, the band, which still records new music and tours off and on, including a tour this summer with Weezer, includes original members Black Francis, guitarist Joey Santiago, and drummer David Lovering. Since 2014, Paz Lenchantin has been playing bass for the Pixies, taking over for original bassist Kim Deal.
