As you’ve probably heard by now, comedian Jay Leno and his wife, Mavis, just dropped $13.5 million on a mansion in Newport, R.I. If that sounds like a lot of money, that’s because it is. But it wasn’t so long ago that the French-style chateau known as Seafair was on the market with an asking price of $19 million. So maybe Leno got a good deal.
Above is a video of the house, put together by Melanie Delman of Lila Delman Real Estate International. For $13.5 million, Leno, an Andover native and the former host of “The Tonight Show,” is getting eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool, carriage house, terraces and gardens, a tennis court, and a private beach.
