Acclaimed novelist (and Dorchester native) Dennis Lehane has been tapped to deliver the undergraduate address at Emerson College’s 137th commencement ceremony on May 14. The college will also present honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees to Lehane, celebrated civil rights advocate Anita Hill (inset), Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough, and 2016 MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” winner and poet Claudia Rankine. Emerson communication studies associate professor emeritus John Anderson will give the graduate address.
