Mama and Papa Chang, as their daughter calls them, flew in from Dallas, and not just to see if Mama Chang’s pork dumplings were still dynamite. The couple were on hand to celebrate Myers+Chang’s 10th anniversary.

The packed party at the South End restaurant on Monday, which also launched “Myers+Chang at Home,” was hosted by Joanne Chang, Christopher Myers, and partner-executive chef Karen Akunowicz. The nibbles just kept coming: plenty of dumplings, five-spice deviled eggs, sweet potato fritters, rice noodles in Chinese takeout containers, ginger waffles with lemon chicken, and more. No one went home hungry.

Longtime friend Esti Parsons (formerly of Sam’s) was at the door. Chef Susan Regis of Shepard stopped by, as did former Blue Room owners Nick Zappia and Liz Vilardi (she runs Central Bottle; he’s looking for consulting work). The couple came with 9-year-old Lucian, godson of Myers and Chang. He got his own platter of dumplings. Members of “The Table” were on hand; the group meets daily, very early, at the Flour location nearby. Myers+Chang is a favorite restaurant of many. Watertown residents Nancy DellaRocca, executive director of executive education at Harvard Business School, and Ellen Mills, a Brookline teacher, like to eat at the bar. Bonnie Fendrock, CEO of Cyta Therapeutics, comes from Winchester with family. Jim Wilker of Specialty Foods Boston, whose company supplies the kitchen, and his wife, Dr. Vicki Rosen, chair of the department of developmental biology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, think of Myers+Chang as their neighborhood go-to spot. Says Rosen: “We live in Chestnut Hill and we do takeout from here.”
