The New England Patriots’ 13-3 Super Bowl win over the Los Angeles Rams was undoubtedly significant for the whole team, but two Patriots players celebrated in very different ways.

When rookie Patriots running back Sony Michel stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday, he gave the audience the inside scoop on the team’s Super Bowl postgame party at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Kimmel asked what the experience was like for Tom Brady, who won his sixth championship on Sunday, jokingly asking if Brady ate “a melon slice” to celebrate. Michel told Kimmel that, because the bash had so many people, Brady mostly stayed with his family in his own private area that overlooked the rest of the revelers.

“When I got there, I kinda expected it to be, like, the players, the parents, so it was more people than I thought,” Michel said. “So [Brady] kinda had his own VIP area at the top. So I kinda felt like a fan. Everybody had their phones out, so I just pulled my phone out — even though I had just got off the field with him.”

Michel also joked that the party — which featured performances by Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill, and The Chainsmokers — was pretty raucous considering that he had his parents with him.

“They had that thing rockin’,” Michel told Kimmel. “I was like, ‘My parents are here.’”

Michel said that while his parents had slightly different energy levels, the festivities “worked out for both of them.”

“My mom, she was the party pooper, so she kind of got ‘tired,’” Michel said. “So my dad had to take her back to the hotel. My dad wanted to get ‘lit.’”
