Eight Cousins to reopen in Falmouth

The Falmouth bookstore closed in early January due to water damage from an upstairs plumbing problem.

Eight Cousins bookstore announced that it would reopen on Monday April 9 after an upstairs plumbing problem collapsed the ceiling and left significant water damage throughout the shop. According to a note on the Eight Cousins website, the owners are planning an open house on Saturday April 14 and to open its doors full time two days later. The selection of books and gifts will be limited at first as it will take a few weeks to get up to full speed. Sara Hines, Mary Fran Buckley and Eileen Miskell bought the shop three years ago from Carol B. Chittenden, who founded the store with her mother, Betty Borg, in 1986.
