Jane Lynch will be among the first two hosts to replace James Lipton on “Inside the Actors Studio,” which is moving from Bravo to Ovation.

    Remember “Inside the Actors Studio”?

Last fall, longtime host James Lipton announced that he would be leaving the show, which featured one-on-one interviews with actors — about craft and their professional careers, Lipton always liked to remind people, not gossip. Lipton, now 92, had hosted the series since he created it in 1994.

Now comes news that the show will be returning, to Ovation instead of Bravo, on Oct. 13. But instead of a single host, it will feature a series of guest hosts. The first two will be Alec Baldwin (who is co-president of The Actors Studio) and Jane Lynch. Baldwin will talk to Henry Winkler and Lynch will talk to David Oyelowo. A longer list of interviewers-interviewees is due soon.
