Melania Trump’s interview on “The Joy Behar Show” from April 20, 2011, went viral last year. It featured Trump supporting her husband’s conspiracy theory that Barack Obama was not born in the United States, and it endlessly made the rounds on Twitter and Facebook.

So you may feel as if the first lady has indeed submitted to questions since her husband was elected. And indeed, she looks very much the same now as she did seven years ago. But in fact she will give her first sit-down interview as first lady on ABC’s “20/20.” It will be part of a special episode called “Being Melania — The First Lady,” and it will air on Oct. 12 at 10 p.m.

Trump will talk to Tom Llamas, weekend anchor of “World News Tonight” and chief national affairs correspondent, who spent time with her during her solo trip to Africa. How wide-ranging will it be? Will he ask about the jacket she wore on the way to visit migrant children at the Texas-Mexico border, which read,“I really don’t care, do u?” Will he ask her about her anti-bullying campaign, specifically in relation to her husband’s behavior? Will he pursue touchy issues, or stay light and stick to talking points?

To promote the “20/20” episode, excerpts from the interview will be shown on other ABC shows during the week, including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight With David Muir,” and “Nightline.”
