It’s Q season.

BET has announced that it is going to air a music event celebrating Quincy Jones. The concert, on Sept. 25 in LA, has been put together to mark Jones’s 85th birthday. BET will tape the show, called “Q 85: A Musical Celebration for Quincy Jones,” but hasn’t yet announced an air date.

It sounds like a packed night. Those paying tribute will include Rashida Jones, Brian McKnight, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Meghan Trainor, LL Cool J, Ludacris, Charlie Wilson, Cynthia Erivo, Ledisi, Herbie Hancock, Gregory Porter, Fantasia, Patti Austin, NE-YO, Terrance Blanchard, Yolanda Adams, Dave Chappelle, Gloria Estefan, Emily Estefan, Gladys Knight, Danny Glover, and others.

Meanwhile, you might want to check out Netflix’s new documentary, “Quincy,” written and directed by Jones’s daughter Rashida and Alan Hicks. If you think the career of Jones primarily revolves around his work with Michael Jackson, you’d be wrong. “Quincy” will school you on his decades of legendary work.
