Memorial Day weekend means the unofficial start of the summer, but in Boston it also means the return of Boston Calling.

The music festival, which moved from City Hall Plaza to Allston in 2017, kicked off at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston Friday, with Charly Bliss opening the weekend on the Blue Stage.

The three-day, three-stage festival has grown since its humble beginnings at City Hall Plaza, there’s now comedy acts and a Ferris Wheel.
